2020 Annual Report
The Insmed team grew significantly in 2020 to advance our three programs and globalize our business. Although we spent most of the year physically isolated from one another, our culture grew stronger and our commitment to our values grew deeper. We are proud of the ways in which the Insmed team pursued our mission, uninterrupted, in an interrupted world—from finding remote ways to engage the physicians and patients we serve to ensuring our research programs continued and that our supply of medicine was sustained. Two thousand twenty showed us what we are truly capable of in the face of adversity.
To transform the lives of patients living with serious and rare diseases.
To be a globally recognized leading biotech company that empowers great people to deliver, with a profound sense of urgency and compassion, life-altering therapies to small patient populations experiencing big health problems.
We check our egos at the door and share ideas openly and candidly. When we disagree, we do so with respect and a willingness to listen.
We are each responsible for ensuring that our actions align with our values.
We are driven to expect more than others think is possible and deliver excellence to our patients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
We embrace our colleagues’ differences, recognize their contributions, and create a culture of empowerment and trust.
We are committed to acting in an ethical, honest, and transparent manner in everything we do.
Employee Silver Linings
My 2020 silver lining was this good memory of my last outing with my dad in January 2020 before he passed away.
Director, Regulatory CMC - Japan
My 2020 silver lining was watching my youngest son, Gunther (pre-med at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln), help on the frontlines, working in the COVID-19 PCR testing lab for the Test Nebraska initiative. It gave him valuable medical experience while answering the call to help. We are proud parents!
Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison
My 2020 silver lining was welcoming my Marine, Purple Heart Recipient, and only son home early from Afghanistan. (Picture taken during his Marine boot camp graduation in 2016)
Senior Patient Access Lead
My 2020 silver lining was finally having the perfect opportunity to adopt the dog I’ve always wanted. On Mother’s Day, Mike and I happily welcomed Archie into our family.
Analyst, Program Management
I started biking during the pandemic and have been amazed to find all the wonderful trails only minutes from my home — a true silver lining.
Senior Patient Access Lead
My 2020 silver lining was taking a beekeeping class. I hope to start an apiary soon.

My 2020 silver lining was buying our first house!
Toast to my quarantine marriage—my 2020 silver lining!
Senior Associate, Accounts Payable
My family had more time to spruce up the house and yard, and I returned to refereeing soccer. The best silver lining of 2020 was the celebration of positive WILLOW data.
